Whore to lust, whore to entertainment, whore to money, whore to ego, whore to religion, whore to your flag, so on and so on…Taking a step back to see where time/money/passion is invested and spent (personally and otherwise)…don’t want to be part of the sickness more than the cure…
I Hate Niggas…Of All Colors…Even Myself?
I love Chris Rock’s Bring The Pain “bit” on Niggas, because it speaks to the deepest most guttural truth many people have. Though I don’t like the relation ‘nigga’ is paired with Black. Or it’s predecessor ‘nigger’. I’m not offended in the sense where these words give me personal pause, because I’ve resolved that within myself through education, self-reflection, and a lot of love/encouragement for great people that raised and taught me into a man.I speaking more to global sociocultural aspects which more often then not govern the framework we have to educate people out of.
There is a piece of self-hatred that I believe Black people by and large have to deal with and self hatred for others as well seeing that we are all one race of people. This is my personal experience. You don’t want to admit hating yourself, because it is painful, but what about your Mother or Father…still too painful? Okay your brother or sister…still too much? Okay your friends and neighbors…getting easier to project your cultural displeasure and denouncements now??
Well we can journey the six degrees of hatred outside of ourselves, but it will still lead back to within us as individuals. You can deal with the a problem without dealing with the pathology and you can’t deal with the pathology outside in, but from the inside out…
I hate niggas…a clean convicted controversial, yet casual comment. Casual in the since that as long as we keep it about “those niggas over there” and not the nigga staring us back in the mirror first it is fun and easy to talk about.
I’m not saying we are all niggas or trying to defend a state of seeming shiftlessness, but I am saying that this fervent hatred and emotion when going on about how much we hate niggas is more often fueled by something a lot closer to home that we fail to deal with. That family member struggling with addiction, the scares of slavery still open wounds, the bitter taste of poverty that never fully leaves your tongue, the racialized indignities suffered purely of skin color or more commonly perhaps your economic standing.
There is a maze of attrition with respects to our humanity toward one another that is as baffling as it is unaddressed. There is so much good (still) to our humanity. One of the best parts is our ability to not just make it through the maze as we can see many animals do, but also have the ability to analyze our shortcomings in getting to a point of solvency. With that we are not only able to improve on our previous efforts but construct mechanisms to measure that improvement and even encourage it. That should be the goal! Lets not just hate niggas, but lets create conditions where there are standards and supports in place to assure there is no need to rest in “niggerdom”. The more resources poured in the more agency given. The more knowledge poured in the more ignorance drowned out.
I hate that which provokes niggas to be niggas more than I hate niggas.
Look Inward and Bring The Pain indeed… It isn’t about being self righteous, but right within yourself ~

Quick acknowledgement that I could have used The Last Poets’ “Niggas Are Scarred Of Revelution” as a reference point as I believe that is where Chris borrows this bit from, but Chris is more close to the gut/raw than the brain/introspection.
The Last Poets - Niggas Are Scared Of Revelution:
I’m not going to pretend that I understand homosexuality or that I’m a true champion of gay marriage. I openly admit to being something that I typically don’t like to be on a topic, which is ambivalent toward the matter. It doesn’t effect me one way or the other, so I’m not going to drum up fake concern in order to get a pat on the back.
What does bother me is the taking of a personal choice or a preferred lifestyle and politicizing it. Even worst politicians and people who consider themselves as ‘informed voters’ (oxymoron?) assigning their oh so fluid religious beliefs and pseudo-philosophies to a matter that has no place on a ballot.
The separation of church and state is really non-existent. That is problematic. It makes people who already inherently hypocritical more empowered to unjustly apply their illogical and unjust “beliefs”. It is all good to lean on your religious beliefs only if you are christian or catholic in the US when trying to get a base of support for your cause or to fuel your distraction, but when it comes to actions and being accountable to injustices inflicted on people everyday religion gets trumped by policy and constitutional commandments.
If we are not putting on a ballot whether or not people can be homosexual, bi-sexual, heterosexual or asexual then why the hell would we care to politicize those same individuals rights to marry, adopt, and operate within that lifestyle in any fashion they care to as long as it is productive and in keeping with whatever standards a citizen should be charged with to add to the greater good?
President Obama made a statement as a man that happens to be a politician, which no matter context or content will always be over politicized and have multiple people spinning the message to help quench their own thirst for attention or more support for their cause. The fact of the matter is he expressed something that is lacking in politics, religion, as well as everyday life…evolution of thought.
We cannot be STUCK. Yes you stand for what you believe and try to be open and gain perspective, but no one will change your mind, but you. With that, if you are being presented with facts and are able to see that things are not as you thought they were there should be a paradigm shift. In many cases that shift will have you show support for many things that you personally do not live, but have grown to understand and appreciate those who do live it.
Bottom line is marriage is as ambiguous as it has proven to be unsuccessful for many of the same reasons gay marriage is even an issue we get distracted by debating. Religion and Politics don’t mix. People will stand on the bible to debate gay marriage, abortion, planned parenthood, but in the same vein stomp all over the bible in support of the things they lust over (guns, money, sex, power, and their perceived right to be considered the moral right).
As a nation we will never build in any positive direction if we are always so willing and eager to tear down others based on race, religion, sexuality, and economic status…As a country was are over 200 years old (236 from day of independence and 225 from the signing of the constitution), but still needs to grow up.
Equality that is situational is not equality really. So for that reason I support Gay Marriage and don’t believe it should be a political issue or something the people have a right to allow or disallow…
Disagree?
Great Perspective On Hip-Hop’s Culture Of Devaluation w/ David Banner
The Breakfast Club has pretty good interviews as far as entertainment industry related topics go. David Banner has grown into his voice quite nicely. This is a cultural discussion that should be global to ask…What is your worth? My belief is that there is a dearth in self love, so we see the violence, comfort in desolation, and the empty vessels trying to become full with things that are more vaporous than sumptuous with long term value…This isn’t just a Hip-hop issue, but an issue in the Black community if not all communities as we watch not just the United States culturally devolve on its surface as much as it has been from its ugly core/foundation that it was birth out of (see genocidal occupation, slavery, inequality, etc).
Good Stuff Mr. Banner
The definition of racism isn’t in an act, but in the ideal. Racism stems from a psychological ailment that would allow an individual to continue to believe a lie though the truth is in their heart and in front of their eyes. What is so cold about the history or racism and bigotry is the ripple effects that are never ending (it seems). People don’t know why they hate, but it is inherited and also just so easy to do when it comes to people of darker hues. If we were to speak to Zimmerman, who apparently has black a “friend(s)” he may not a racist bone in his body, but his hatred can still be just as potent as evident by how he stalked and killed this boy in the name of his own sense of justice.
Do we as human beings kill insects because we inherently feel superior to them or because we are disgusted by them? Is there a difference? I think about Black on Black crime in the same context. It is hatred that must be combated. This hatred is in opposition to humanity not restricted to race. Personally I may feel him utilizing the junk term “coon” as an indicator of his mental state and seething motivation to shot this boy moving to categorize it as a true “hate-crime”, but Racism in this case is the low hanging fruit. This is an opportunity to improve the human condition, which is a much more critical focus.
Zimmerman maybe profiled Trayvon racially and attached all what he “knows” and is projected about how black men and especially young black men are the super-predators. Racially motivated is a questionable way for me to see this, but hate filled, misguided, criminal, cold-blooded, and flat out evil is what I can clearly see…But guess those encompasses all of this and it is much easier to see a racially motivated lack of action, compassion, and following of law enforcement protocol are the Sanford Police…Surprise Surprise.
They are the most guilty in this case than even Zimmerman to me!! As far as I am concerned the Sanford Police are accomplices and complicit in Trayvons murder. They practiced LIE ENFORCEMENT NOT LAW ENFORCEMENT. They should be identified and charged as such…BUT there is something very F’d up about wearing a badge in this country. Once you put it on you give an oath to Serve and Protect, while also not being held accountable for your humanity or lack of it toward those you are supposed to protect. Glorified Overseers, Bullies and Cowards in Kevlar! This is the theme that makes Black men scream! Why Don’t Our Lives Count!! Why Don’t We Take Yours And Let You See How It Feels?!? How Can We Walk Tall and Lead Our Families Down The Right Path If We Have No Rights To Stand On?
It has long been open season on Black Men…Far too long. So when people get into their militant bag and start to steer away from the law abiding way and away from the stability and sanctity of marriage, raising children and building foundation because it doesn’t seem possibly or permanent it is a big unknown as to why. We’ve been shown too often police or anyone with the resources and/or acceptable hue can revoke your rights because they revile your race or culture!
That is the crime and that is the cause of true hate crimes. It is all to easy to hate, hinder, and hunt down Black lives. When will it end and when will we make it end?

Trayvon Martin is a Super Predator?
This is what young Black boys and men are seen as. Elaine Brown wrote a book called, “Condemnation of Little B…” which speaks directly to the Trayvon Martin case in many ways. Not George Zimmerman’s perspective, because he is just a sick and vile individual that shouldn’t have been allowed to roam freely in society even before this vicious and calculated murder. This speaks to the lack of action by the Police and all other governing bodies. It is the foul stench that we are all too familiar with where Black equals Disposable in this country.
Black males are constantly cast as predatory animals. A boy walking home from the store being gunned down is just a grain of sand on the beach of the bull shit Black men face in this country. So many words to choose from…Heinous, Sadistic both fit pretty good, but there are two that are even more awful…Commonplace and Acceptable.
In what other scenario with another race is this allowed to happen like this…Man calls cops tells them he is targeting his victim…he is told NOT to pursue…he does any way…eye witness…911 calls, the victims last phone call…the many who hear the cries for help and the gun shot that tore through this young man’s possibilities…STILL SLOW TO NO JUSTICE! Instead of Law Enforcement there was Lie Enforcement that took place.
Yes we will sign petitions, march, cry, and be angry, but where and how will the police, county, states be held accountable and pay damaging penalties for their criminal practices and blatant disregard for the very laws they took oaths and are paid to uphold? I don’t see that coming…sadly. Oscar Grant’s murder at least had the more familiar backdrop of police being protected in their criminal acts…this was just a man who decided to hunt. The response has traditionally been it is open season on Black boys. He watched, tracked, confronted, and murdered another human being and was able to walk away from the police and rest in his own bed.
So who in this country is the Super Predators?
There is one major component that doesn’t get touched on in this article and it is education, which goes back to the Federal level. President Obama kicks off this ariticles purpose by asking the very question that previous Presidents have ignored for years, because the fat cats were eating good. This idea or LIE that the GOP actually used in their “rebuttal” via Mitch Daniels of the US being the place of the “haves and soon to haves” is ridiculous. The great lie of America is that all you need to do is work hard. There are plenty of displaced and lost hard workers in this country. The federal government isn’t innovative in anyway. How many new initiatives and ground breaking actions to improve inefficiencies have come over the last 30+ years??
You keep seeing “Mid-skill” level referenced. This country has been so committed to this model of filtering youth to being politicians or service professionals in the sense that you go to college and no matter what you study (Engineering to English) you can function as an Agent of Service. This does NOTHING for need to INNOVATE and create change to a outdated model for an OUTDATED BRAND called America! These examples where a factory like FoxxConn gets it and builds systems of efficiency and quality all over the world is something the US has had the means to do years ago, but FAILED to execute on, because the “leaders” fell asleep at the wheel and because as stated before…the fat cats have always ate well. If GREED or GOOD is your measure of value you lack value. If CASH over CONVICTION is your mission you have no true mission. If PROFIT over PURPOSE is your position dammit you will always lose your spot. The foundation unlike what President Obama was saying last night in need of great repair. I understand he is speaking to a need to see the bright side, but the reality is we’ve been doing that so long the ugly truths that needed attention was lost in the dark. Now when we go back to try to address them we are stumbling in the dark as we trip over every item some dropped and walked away from. A President shouldn’t be a janitor, but the government on whole is supposed to be working for the people and they just haven’t been doing their job. And for people to fall back on the “well if you vote it won’t happen” are way off. I contend voting is more like carnival game than an exercise of knowledge and action!!
So essentially the lore and lust of instant gratification produced retardation in growth as well as the desire to forecast with the purpose of long-term prosperity.
